Gulftainer Lebanon

Gulftainer have been awarded the concession to develop and
operate a new container terminal at the Port of Tripoli in
Northern Lebanon. The concession will start with a much
needed initial investment of over USD 60 million in new
equipment and machinery, including dedicated Ship-to-Shore
Gantry Cranes, supporting Yard Cranes, other container
handlers and yard management systems. Once complete,
the new Gulftainer Terminal will be able to accommodate
some of the largest container vessels operating in the Eastern
Mediterranean, alleviating congestion in, and as an alternative to
, the Port of Beirut.
The terminal would provide container shipping lines and shippers with:
· A gateway port to Lebanon local markets;
· Ease of access to bordering country trade routes;
